  1. Are your cat’s registered with an international cattery?

Yes, our cats are registered with the TICA (The International Cat Association) and the process has begun for being a TICA “Outstanding Cattery” .

  1. Are all the cats you sell registered?

Yes, all litters are registered. Our kitten registrations papers are sent to the buyer when we receive a veterinary certificate confirming spay or neuter.

  1. Is registration information available to be seen prior to purchase?

Usually the litter registration can be viewed on the site or upon request. Five generation pedigrees are also available on the parents.

  1. Do you have a contract and is it available for viewing prior to purchase?
Yes a generic contract may be viewed on our contract page and one will be tailored to you when you have decided to purchase a LazyDays kitten.

  1. How does the cattery handle spaying and neutering pets?

In some cases, we do early spay/neuter. In most cases, we prefer our kittens are 5 pounds to decrease the chance of complications from anesthesia. We require all pet kittens be spay/neutered by a licensed veterinarian not later than 6 months of age.

  1. Do you offer a health guarantee? Is there a copy of what is covered available to be viewed before purchase?

Yes, our health guarantee is included in the contract.

  1. What tests do you have done on your breeding cats?

Our cats receive thorough periodic vet examinations. They are examined and tested for Feline Leukemia, bone/eye/skin abnormalities and a complete laboratory analysis. Incoming cats receive a thorough medical evaluation.

  1. At what age is my kitten allowed to leave LazyDays?

Due to the fact that the kittens mature in steps, we have found the confidence to be the last to develop between 10 and 12 weeks. Their immunity is also better to face the early stresses of change. We also do not let the kittens leave the cattery until after this time so that they receive all required vaccinations prior to departure to their new home.

  1. Do you vaccinate your breeding cats and kittens prior to sale? And if so, do you provide records showing this?

Two copies of the kitten’s medical record are provided when the kitten is released to the buyer, one copy for their veterinarian and one for the buyer’s files. We also include two of our vet’s business cards for any needed consultation by the buyer or buyer’s vet.

  1. Do you allow visits to see your cattery?

We encourage all interested parties to visit our in home cattery on appointment. We feel it is important to know where and how your kitten/cat is raised, and to personally observe health conditions. Parents are usually available to meet. We think it very important to personally witness the wonderful temperament and beauty of the parents.

  1. Are references available?

Yes upon request. We work closely with several other reputable breeders across the country.

  1. Do you ship cats/kittens?

We will ship kittens but prefer not to when possible. If a kitten is going to be shipped via airline, weather is a very important factor. We prefer that other arrangements be made as this can be a very stressful trip for a kitten.

  1. Do you provide information to aid in raising your cats?

Each of our kittens come with a kitten kit with any forms you will need to keep track of your kittens health and welfare. We offer to be available to answer questions, provide a second opinion and, most importantly, to provide suggestions on any vet problems or concerns that may arise for the life of your LazyDays cat.
