Letters From Our Adoptive Families
Hi Jeremy and Kesha, Ramses is doing just great. He slept for most of the drive home that night and woke up briefly when I would make a stop. He woke up for good about 8:30 that night and he used his portable litter box on the floor of the car, which was great to see. He didn't cry at all but would let me know he was there every once in a while by "talking" to me. I gave him a few morsels of chicken tenders from Burger King that night which he appreciated. He has really adjusted to my apartment like a champ. He knows where all of his things are and seems very happy. He likes to be near me but I have purposely kept him in another room for periods of time to accustom him to not having me near. When I leave, he doesn't cry at all. He uses that time to sleep I think. He is a ravenous eater for sure. I am feeding him the Blue Buffalo Comapany's Spa Select for kittens at the following website http://www.bluebuff.com/products/cats-spa-select.shtml. The cat trainer at the Petstore said it had come out on the market not too long ago, and she recommened it above Science Diet and the others. It features deboned chicken. Ramses didn't have a problem adjusting to it. I give him some deli turkey supplements at dinner time as well as a treat. I am teaching him how to take the turkey out of my hand without chomping down on my finger as well. He has proven to be a smart cat so far. He started fetching the ball (which means bringing it back to me) without much help from me, and he does it everytime until he gets tired or bored. I have many photos, and I will send some of them later. I attached a quick video of him in action with his ball.

Sorry I'm so late in sending you these. Tigger is a Little too frisky for my 15 year old cat, but he's such a gentle and sensitive spirit, he tolerates him well. He's teaching him who's "The Boss".

Jivago is doing well. He looks like he loves is new home and surroundings. He is happy to play with the dogs and anyone who comes near him. We are very happy with him. Vet said he looks great.
He slept on Diane's shoulders for about a hour on the ride home.

Terri decided on the name "Sinbad." He went to the vet yesterday and checked out fine. Just a little underweight but he is eating like a small horse so that should be corrected soon. He has adapted well and now thinks he rules the house. He does rule Terri! All he has to do is meow and she is there. He seems to have only two speeds, on and off. When he is on, he is running and climbing on everything. Then he goes off and he is looking for a lap to sleep in. I am attaching two pics of him. He is very hard to photograph because if he is awake, he will not stop long enough to get a picture. These are the best I could do.

He is very active and loves to play with everything, he makes everything in the house his own personal toy to chew on. He does like to take showers and runs in there as soon as the water is turned on. If i don't let him in he puts up a fit a whines outside the door. He is very social and doesn't like me to walk into another room without him. he follows me everywhere and sits in my lap as soon as I sit down. He sleeps either on me or right next to my face. There is something very different in his personality that I have never experienced with owning a cat. If you run your hand across the couch he gets into pounce mode and comes running after it, which is normal cat behavior to me. The thing he does different is that if I go around the corner and crouch down and just show a part of my face or if I just go across the room and imitate what he does when he is ready to pounce he will look at me and his eyes go all black, crouch down wiggle or slowly, like a robot make little movements towards me, chatters, and then runs full spend and jumps on me playfully and runs away...If I run around the house he will chase me like a dog does then I chase him, he is very fun!!! His favorite toy which he is very protective over is this TY Beanie Halloween Ghost which he will bring to me to play fetch. That's about all I can think about to say, he is a great cat and is doing very well. As you can tell his coat has gotten much darker.
Thanks,
Jenifer & Basil
Hello Jeremy,
Tiki is doing great and did great on the 6 hour trip home. The vet gave her a clean bill of health and all the girls in the back had a fit over her and had to pass her around. Her coat seems to be getting more glitter and her spots are more pronounced; she is so beautiful and I just love watching her. As you told us, she is not a lap kitty but she is very affectionate and loves to be petted. She is a great communicator and I’m learning what her different “meows” mean. She has one very distinct “meow” when she wants me to come to her or wants to know where I am. We have gradually introduced her to the dogs as well as different rooms in the house and she has started venturing out of her room on her own wanting to be where the action is. The dogs are making friends with her and she likes playing hide-n-seek with my cocker spaniel. I predict in a couple of weeks she will rule the house!
Thanks again for all of your advice and patiently answering all of our questions. If I come across anyone wanting a Bengal, I will recommend your cattery.
Also, I want to apologize, I think we arrived early at your house on Sunday. We forgot about the 1 hour time difference.
